Beats, Borrow, and Don't Steal – Guidelines for Using Beats in Your Works:  This panel will discuss copyright issues raised when you as an artist or producer use recordings, lyrics/music or beats that are not owned or controlled by you.  The panel will offer guidance on how you can mitigate potential claims and will discuss work for hire, master use, synchronization, and online license agreements.  The panelists will also review standard Terms and Conditions of online music providers so that you can have a better understanding of their limitations and the extent of your rights in the material you sample from their library.
