For over 30 years Earl Torno has been making multi-award winning music and sound for TV and radio commercials, for film & TV, and for recording artists. Earl began his career recording and producing artists such as Platinum Blonde, Honeymoon Suite, The Guess Who, Liona Boyd, Glass Tiger, the Nylons and David Wilcox. He has co-written songs that have been recorded by the likes of Kenny Rogers, Canadian Idol Billy Klippert, and juno winner Carlos Morgan. More than a dozen of his songs have been licensed for TV and movies such as Degrassi: The Next Generation, Instant Star, Small Town Saturday Night starring Chris Pine and Too Late To Say Goodbye starring Rob Lowe. The past two decades have seen Earl as an established member of the advertising industry, where, as a director/engineer/sound designer and composer, he has worked on literally thousands of TV and radio commercials encompassing virtually every brand, such as Mercedes Benz, Coca Cola, American Express, Tim Horton’s, Budweiser, The Bay, McDonald’s, and Home Hardware to name a few. During the past 16 years, Earl has been behind the scenes directing the music for numerous animated and live action TV series’ such as Ridonculous Race, Chirp, Bookaboo, Grojband, Playdate, Ella The Elephant, Bunks, Johnny Test, Total Drama Island, Numb Chucks, My Babysitter’s A Vampire, Looped, and Almost Naked Animals.
