Colin McDowell has spent over a decade in the professional audio industry, and even longer as a dsp engineer. Mr. McDowell graduated with Honors from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, along with minors in Mathematics and Economics in 1991. Before founding McDSP in 1998, Mr. McDowell was employed at IBM, Digidesign, and Dolby. Mr. McDowell has worked on several projects prior to starting McDSP, including many Digidesign plug-Ins, the original TDM multi-shell technology, and the Dolby E audio coder and decoder.
