Overview: We are pleased to announce that Jerry ‘Wonda’ Duplessis will deliver the keynote speech at IMSTA FESTA New York on Sept 28 at the SAE Institute. Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum super music producer Jerry ‘Wonda’ Duplessis is one of the most highly regarded and musically adept producers to emerge from the hip-hop era since the early 1990s.
Today he is an entrepreneur and philanthropist whose stellar music career includes three Grammy Awards and over 16 nominations, a publishing catalog of 300+ titles, and 300+ million single and album copies sold.
His 2006 hit “Hips Don’t Lie” with Shakira and Wyclef Jean broke music records globally and is regarded as one of the best songs of all time. Jerry has also produced songs for feature films including the Golden Globe-nominated “Million Voices” for Hotel Rwanda and scored ten films and documentaries.
Overview: Join Scott Hull, Owner and Chief Engineer of New York's legendary Masterdisk Studios, as he shares 40+ years of audio mastering knowledge. Scott's presentation will focus on Differences Between “Loud” and “Good”; Special Considerations for Vinyl – What I Call UN-mastering; Some Advice on Tapping into Your Own Reference: The First Steps to Being a Professional Mastering Engineer; and Who Needs a Premastering Mix Review?
Speaker: The list of records mastered by Scott Hull contains 10,000+ albums, spanning nearly every genre of music. His work is especially notable for artists such as Garbage, John Mayer, Steely Dan, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Snarky Puppy, and hundreds of reissued and remastered titles from the '80s and '90s.
Overview: A beat making FL Studio masterclass with Chambers.
Speaker: Based in New York, Chambers first began producing, recording, mixing and mastering music in 2016. Now working with artists all over the world, he has experience from Hip-Hop to R&B to movie scores. The 21 year old certified multi-gold Billboard #1 producer has developed an extensive discography, boasting names such as Future, 21 Savage, Lil Durk, and KSI among others, even producing for the #1 box office movie, Space Jam: A New Legacy.
His work has accumulated hundreds of millions of streams, earned plaques, made it to the top charts of the music industry, and more. Dedicated to helping the producer community, Chambers is now growing an online production school to provide educational resources for producers of all levels and backgrounds.
Overview: Moderated by L'ay Green, the "Business of Music" panel offers a comprehensive look at turning creative skills into a thriving music business. It covers business management, establishing a viable music career, and financial aspects of the industry. The panel explores key elements of music publishing, including differences from the recorded music industry, copyright, licensing, and various publishing agreements. Attendees will learn about collection societies/PROs and the importance of a global network for royalty distribution, gaining a well-rounded understanding of music business management and publishing.
Speaker: Michelle's personalized approach has established her as a leading figure in the field, earning recognition as one of Billboard’s “Top Business Managers” for 2020 - 2023, as well as a spot on the “R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players” list for those same years.
Speaker: Mia Florival is a music publishing professional who has been working in music business for 5+ years. Mia is currently a Manager, Royalties at Downtown Music Publishing.
Overview: Join this exciting master class and learn how to use AI to sing your songs and even rap on your beats, taking songwriting to a whole new level. If you're a songwriter or music producer who can't sing but want to hear your music with vocals, this class is for you. Producer, vocal producer, and audio engineer Joshua Weinfield will show you how to create amazing-sounding vocals for your demos or final productions. Josh will cover the key features of the Synthesizer V AI Vocal Synth and demonstrate how to use and tweak them to create professional-quality vocals.
Speaker: Joshua Weinfeld, co-founder of Continuous Motion Productions, LLC, holds a master’s degree in Music Technology and Digital Media from the University of Toronto and graduated from Vanderbilt University with a focus on percussion performance. A New York City native, Joshua has received accolades including the Downbeat Magazine award for best collegiate-engineered live recording and 1st place in the Audio Engineering Society Recording Competition in 2023. At Continuous Motion, he has collaborated with artists worldwide and contributed to hundreds of audiovisual projects.
Overview: This Master Class will consist of Archie Beatz showing you how to achieve mixed quality music production within minutes. He will discuss Equalization, Compression, Reverb & Limiting overall master bus techniques that your beat production and composition can benefit from. He will also show you how to utilize these techniques in real time in one of his actual music production/beat sessions. Additional talking points include Making space with instruments is the most important thing you will ever do; and The importance of quality sonic presentation overall.
Speaker: Archie Beatz is a composer, producer, YouTube personality, and audio engineer. He has composed music for major brands like T-Mobile and Covergirl, as well as NBA star Spencer Dinwiddie’s K8iros Mark II, establishing himself as a key figure in the music and pro audio industry. Archie is also a prominent YouTube personality with over 100,000 subscribers and more than 9 million views.

J. Chris Griffin is heavily involved in the Music industry, working on records with John Legend, Kanye West, Madonna, Missy Elliott, Kelly Clarkson, The Corrs, and jazz guitarist John McLaughlin. A 24-year SESAC affiliate, his own compositions and remixes are all over international television and cinema with credits ranging from MGM Studios to CBS's "NCIS.” Chris is a decade-long adjunct faculty member at New York University and is based out of Engine Room Audio in Manhattan.
Grammy-nominated mixing and mastering engineer, producer, and educator Nacor Zuluaga was mentored by Mark Christensen in 2011-2013 mastering multi-platinum projects for artists like Robin Schulz (on the Grammy-nominated Remix of 'Waves' by Mr. Probz for Best Remix), Trey Songz, and 50 Cent. He's worked in commercial studios in NYC since 2011, as a staff mix/mastering engineer and operations manager, and has dedicated himself primarily to Mixing and Mastering since 2014.
Collin Bevan is the product manager of plugins for Eventide, working as a liaison between the development and marketing teams as well as artists and influencers. His journey as an audio engineer and producer began at 16, managing to record, mix, and master 10 EPs for local bands in the Poconos before attending the College of Saint Rose as a music industry major and a percussionist.
Rich Crescenti is a freelance engineer, producer, and drummer working out of several studios in NYC and LA. Rich has played music for over 30 years, and has been making recordings for over 20 years. Mila Miller is a dynamic music producer, singer, and songwriter with a passion for creating captivating soundscapes. Her journey began as a vocalist, gaining success on shows like X Factor and The Voice. Mila’s breakthrough came when she won Armin van Buuren's Armada label singing competition, leading to collaborations with renowned DJs such as Shogun, DJ Eco, and Karanda. Her work has been released on prestigious labels like Armada Music and Black Hole Recordings. Today, Mila is a sought-after music producer, working with artists worldwide. Her music has made its mark across continents, with placements in TV series like “This is a True Story,” “Sleepless in Sosnovka,” “Abusers,” and the film “White Coat,” as well as in the MTV reality show “Catfish.”
Artist, Musician, Songwriter are just a few of the words that describe Derrick Floyd. By day, he is the National Sales and Product Specialist Manager for the ground breaking music technology company, IK Multimedia who is one of the leaders in making professional software tools for musicians, producers and engineers. Also being the pioneers of mobile recording revolution has given Derrick a front roll seat at the helm of the constant evolving world of creative music technology products.
Nick Gallick has always possessed a deep connection with both music and sound. He has cultivated a range of skills and experience in many fields of audio including songwriting, music production, film, and post-production. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Audio Recording & Business Management from Five Towns College, he began working in various studios on Long Island, NY. He’s currently an audio instructor at SAE Institute NYC, a freelance engineer, and a guitar teacher.
In the 90s, Adisa Mtima's musical journey started with a Roland R-8 drum machine, an Atari 1040 STE with EditTrack software, a Yamaha sequencer, and an SMPTE Box for Tascam Portastudio syncing. In the early 2000s, he embraced Cakewalk Pro Audio 5 and early FL Studio, then known as Fruity Loops, with MIDI functionality. Adisa completed an audio program at DMX Touro College. Notably, he taught audio at Riker's Island jail, introducing students to Cakewalk Sonar and FL Studio, also using ADAT for Teen Talk Radio on Channel 25 NYC. Adisa also taught Korean students through an online sequencing program during a Taste Of College program.
Richard Gaspard, product specialist at PreSonus Audio Electronics, is a multi-talented professional. He's a bassist, singer, producer, arranger, voice artist, and Grammy-nominated recording engineer. His extensive career includes mixing over three thousand live and pre-taped TV broadcasts, as well as short films, radio, TV, and internet commercials, and numerous music recording projects. A native of Southwest Louisiana, Richard graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1994 with a degree in contemporary music media.
Noel Jasso is a Grammy-Nominated session drummer and composer from Los Angeles, California. He has toured and recorded for artists worldwide and has had his music placed on television shows, video games, and films. Noel is also a Co-Founder of Hey Pete Productions, an NYC-based production company specializing in Music Composition, Sound Design, & Audio Post Production.
Ezra Ouellette is a musician, artist and Senior Support Technician for Soundtoys, Inc. He has been with Soundtoys since March 2019, when he was hired to work alongside the Support/QA crew at Soundtoys’ Burlington, VT headquarters. In his free time, Ezra (like everyone else at Soundtoys) is a passionate lover of music. He is primarily self-taught, and has spent the majority of his life making electronic music on his laptop.
Wilkis Figuereo is a CEO, Entrepreneur, Producer and Engineer with over 20 years experience. He is the owner of Itec Audio Studios in New Jersey, one of the premier Avid Authorized training centers in the North East United States. Wilkis also serves as an Educational Consultant for Music Production programs across the nation and a partner of NYU’s Hip Hop Education Center.
Nate Mars is a producer, sound designer, music technologist and content marketing specialist based in New York. He has released music on several labels including Fabric (UK), ZZK (Argentina), and Lustre Kings Productions in addition to having songs licensed for documentary films and television. He has also created SFX, Sound Design and audio brand identity for games and web-based products.
Frank Slater has been working in audio for over 20 years and lives in Union Beach, NJ. He is a long time music education teacher and has teaching certifications in Pro Tools and Sonnox. He is currently working on a book with Frank Cook for the new Pro Tools Artist software as part of the Avid Learning Academy.
Jason Rostkowski is an audio engineer, educator, and founder of Cycle Studios. After finishing the music technology graduate program at NYU, Jason landed his first assistant engineer job at GSI Studios, where he continued to work out of for the next seven years, eventually becoming one of the studio’s lead engineers. In June of 2022, Jason opened up Cycle Studios in Brooklyn, NY where he currently develops his mixing and mastering practice.Jason's credits include major labels such as Island Records, Blue Note Records, Verve Records, ATO Records, and artists including Questlove, Common, YEBBA, James Francies, Joel Ross, and Terrace Martin. Jason also has been teaching music technology and production at SAE Institute since 2003.
Based in LA and NY, David Jaden Anthony is a musical theatre artist, composer/songwriter, voice teacher, music director, pianist, and educator. David is a storyteller in every capacity, and his emotional authenticity drives all of his writing and performing. He studied Choral Conducting, Music Composition, and Music Education at Chapman University, as well as Songwriting and Music Production at Berklee College of Music. Overall, David is a versatile music creator who can step into many roles and succeed.
Andrew Bostwick is an audio engineer based in New York City. He began his career in audio as a singer-songwriter, self-learning music production, before enrolling in SAE Institute of Technology in New York. He followed those studies up by enrolling in Berklee College of Music, pursuing a degree in Songwriting and Music Production. He currently works as a studio technician for SAE in New York, a podcast editor, and as a live sound engineer with The Bowery Presents.
Troy Valentine immersed himself in music as a child, mastering theory, rhythm, and timeless melodies. Learning from blended recordings, he grasped balanced mixes. A skilled keyboardist, he excelled in arrangement and sound craft. In NYC, he witnessed tape wizardry, analog consoles, EQ, and reverb artistry. Using a Mac with Opcode Vision, he controlled MIDI keyboards, synths, and drum machines synced to an 8-track Tascam. After recording, he perfected mix artistry, transferring tracks for final touches on DAT and cassettes. Transitioning to FL Studio and PreSonus Studio One, Troy now thrives as a beatmaker, using plugins to replicate studio hardware. Maturing in mastering, he integrates years of mixing wisdom into his sonic journey.
Molly is an audio engineer in New Jersey with experience in both live and studio environments. She works as a live sound technician at Monmouth Worship Center and is studying music production at Brookdale Community College. As an Avid Certified Pro Tools Specialist, Molly has had experience editing, mixing, and producing music across various genres, working with local artists and bands. She is passionate about helping artists realize their creative visions and enjoys bringing out the best in every project.
Kobe Guilford is a New Jersey based multi-hyphenate artist with a deep reverence for history and culture. He is an alum of Ithaca College’s Park School of Communications with a BFA in Writing for Film, TV, and Emerging Media and an Audio Production minor. Prior to stepping into the freelance market full time, he interned at Pushkin Industries. Kobe is the Co-Executive Producer, Sound Designer, and Audio Engineer of iHeart Radio Nominated (Best Spirituality and Religion Podcast) A Little Juju Podcast, hosted by Juju Bae. He is also the Sound Designer and Audio Engineer of Hartbeat’s newly acquired show Petty Crimes, hosted by Ceara Jane O’Sullivan and Griff Stark-Ennis.
Joe Cilento is a multi-faceted musician and audio engineer. As an engineer and composer his work can be heard on film scores and TV shows including productions for companies like Netflix, DreamWorks, Discovery, Bravo and more. In addition to his work in post-production, Joe is frequently in the studio developing albums with artists and playing shows with various collaborators. Joe looks equally forward to new technologies as he does to past traditions in audio and music creation. Fusing both of these worlds has led Joe to be a versatile artist and tenacious collaborator!
Anthony Spinnato is Brooklyn-based session and touring drummer, audio engineer, and manufacturers representative/product specialist for Streetwise Sales in the Mid-Atlantic territory. As a musician, he has toured nationally and internationally, recorded in dozens of studios, and appeared on national TV with artists, including Animal Years, The Next Great American Novelist, QWAM, and Your 33 Black Angels. During his time at The Cutting Room Studios in Manhattan, he served as audio engineer and, ultimately, studio manager, working with a range of music, film/TV, and commercial clients, such as Adidas, Nate Ruess, Lil Pump, Steve Earle, and Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite.

Sydney is a strong stakeholder in music, advertising, branded content and entertainment. She is the President and Executive Producer running three successful companies: The Music Playground, The Diner and The Station. Sydney is an adept music industry leader. At The Music Playground and The Diner, she manages original music creation, band and artist licensing, production music, music supervision and clearance, sound design and audio-post for advertising, television, and film. She even had the pleasure of singing on a broadcast McDonald's commercial.
At The Station she produces full-service projects, from creative ideation through finishing. She has an expansive knowledge of executing live-action and still photography productions with a focus in commercial advertising and branded content. Aside from her full-time jobs, Sydney is an active member of the Rolling Stone Culture Council, a guest lecturer at the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports, and Entertainment and has been on the Telly Awards judging council for the past two years. When she's not working you can find her hitting the slopes on her snowboard or rocking out on vocals with some local musicians.
