Join IMSTA (Intl. Music Software Trade Assoc.) and SAE Institute as they host IMSTA FESTA, a celebration of music technology packed with Panels, Workshops & Master Classes, Song Critiques, Demonstrations and more. Hosting industry experts in an environment where music-makers can network, interact and learn with each other face-to-face, this annual one-day event is not to be missed. IMSTA FESTA is a FREE event open to everyone in the music making community; professional and semi-professional musicians, songwriters, music producers, and audio engineers, as well as music students and educators.

Admission is FREE with REGISTRATION.

Sign up for a FREE Song Review from one of our qualified industry song writing specialists who will carefully listen to your song and give you a professional critique from a song writing & production perspective. All you need is your song on your phone or music player and our experts will plug their earphones in and do the rest.

During the Song Reviews, 'Wild Cards" can be assigned. A Wild Card is an extraordinary song that stands apart from the rest.

  • The wild card songs are then added to the song writing competition judging and these finalists will be running to compete for the Grand prize: a spot at Black Rock Studios in Santorini Greece.

Brian Kullas - NATIVE INSTRUMENTS

Brian Kullas studied at Dickinson College to pursue a traditional music degree. He soon discovered that his real passion was electronic music production and DJing. Brian attended Dubspot Electronic Music Production and DJ School, where he was able to hone his DJ and music production skills. Brian is now the Lead US Product Specialist for Native Instruments and has been with Native Instruments for the past 6 years. Brian has focused his electronic music style on house, Trap & Hiphop using MASCHINE, KOMPLETE, and TRAKTOR.

Robert Miller - AVID

Robert has been with Avid as a Senior Solutions Specialist for 23 years. He has been instrumental in transitioning Film and Television Post and Broadcast customers to digital file-based workflows. As of late he has been focusing on Avid’s Venue S6L unified mixing platform. Prior to his time at Avid he was a keyboard player and chief engineer at Water Music Recorders in Hoboken NJ where he recorded and produced many records during the 80’s and early 90’s. He keeps his ProTools chops up by mixing projects for friends.



Reynaldo Hernandez - Acon Digital

Reynaldo Hernandez (f.k.a BASSBEAR!!) Is a Dj/ Producer from hip hop's birthplace, The Bronx, NY. His experiences have allowed him to set the pace on today's Current trends of electronic music as a DJ and as an audio engineer. He is a recent graduate at SAE Institute and is currently a Live Audio Engineer at Avant Gardner in Brooklyn NY. BASSBEAR!! Is also apart of 2019’s Creator Class at Splice Sounds as a sound designer working on a special project dropping by the end of the year."

Mitchell Leonard - Reveal Sound

Mitchell Leonard is a Brooklyn-based pianist, composer, author, instructor, and producer. He studied jazz and classical music throughout his youth, and majored in jazz theory at Arizona State University. Since his graduation, he has recorded and produced many of his own works, as well as several others for international artists spanning multiple genres. Additionally, he continues to work as studio musician and touring performer, as well as a contributing writer for Sonic Scoop magazine.

Ahmed Mahmoud - Sonarworks

Ahmed Mahmoud has been in the industry for close to twenty years. He was briefly signed to Epic Records with his band Bamboo Shoots. Ahmed is currently working as a freelance engineer, composer, and producer. He is graduating SAE on October 12th this year!!

Luis Tineo - Accusonus

Luis Tineo also known as Sabor (pronounced/ Saab-or) is an american music producer, music & film mix engineer & DJ. Studied in NYC at Center for the Media Arts and best known for his extensive work catalog as a sound engineer at some of the top recording studios in the NY area like the legendary hip-hop studio D&D & Chung King with credits that are considered to be iconic projects in the Hip-Hop and Dance music genres.



Rajiv Bethune - FabFilter

Rajiv Bethune is an electronic music producer, product specialist and a IADT Recording Arts graduate. He became a Product Specialist for Music Marketing, a North American music software distribution company in 2014 and since then has been demonstrating music software products, educating musicians and audio enthusiasts at various North American trade shows and conventions.



Rich Crescenti - Melodyne

Rich Crescenti is a freelance engineer, producer, educator, and drummer working out of several studios in NYC. Rich has played music for over 30 years, made recordings for over 20 years, and has over 10,000 actual teaching hours. Whether behind the glass or behind the kit, Rich helps bands make unique music and recordings.



Eric Brody, aka Sol Aire - Native Instruments

Eric Brody, aka Sol Aire, has led a career in the music industry of over ten years. Sol Aire’s sound features soulful grooves and lush atmospheres, fueling his unique style of chill house, hip hop, and RnB. Sol Aire’s music has been featured on Nurvous Records, Thump, The Fader, Earmilk, Adhoc, and Interview Magazine. In addition to creating original productions, audio engineering, and DJing, Sol Aire is known for his exclusive use of Native Instruments Maschine to generate and perform his instrumental material.



Ian Martinez - Arturia

Ian Martinez - Marketing and Communications Specialist for Arturia in the US. Product Specialist – Studio Producer – worked with some of the biggest Hip-Hop Producers in Los Angeles. Songwriter and expert Logic and Pro Tools engineer coming out of Interscope Records, has engineered for artists such as Miguel, JoJo, Master P, and El Debarge.



BILL COLLINS – MAGIX

Bill Collins is a Chicago-based music producer, educator and product specialist for MAGIX Software who has been actively performing and producing music for over 20 years. His music can be heard on several major television networks and is published by Sony/ATV and Universal Music Publishing Group. Bill is also the Editor for The Pro Audio Files, and served as Course Director for the Los Angeles Film School from 2010-2017.



JAY LOPEZ – FL STUDIO

Jariel " ILLA NOIZ" Lopez, Is an Audio Production Engineer & Music Technology Professional with a diverse experience in recording, mixing, and music production. Along, with years of self-taught knowledge, an Associates Degree in Audio Technology from SAE Nashville, Paired with a mentorship from Platinum Sound Studios NYC. He has become a Freelance Audio Engineer, Studio Owner, Music and Technology Demonstrator.



TOM BEUCHEL – MCDSP

Tom is a producer/engineer/musician based in NYC and currently a staff engineer/partner at Flux Studios in Manhattan. He has worked with a wide variety of artists including David Crosby, Banda Magda, Marlon Craft, and Andre 3000.



RAVI BHAVSAR – MCDSP

Ravi Bhavsar is a 28-year-old, self-taught producer and engineer, currently working at Flux Studios in Manhattan. He has worked in multiple genres ranging from Bollywood, EDM, Rap, to Folk.
