Overview: This interactive producer master class will be modelled after a live reality TV cooking show! But instead of cooking food, we will be Cooking Beats! Canada’s beat-making genius FrancisGotHeat will be using special ingredients and tools to show the IMSTA audience how to make a killer beat. Whether you are an aspiring beatmaker or an industry professional who has always wondered how beats are made, this Master Class will pull back the curtain and show you why Toronto beatmakers are among the best in the World. Ever wonder where ideas for beats come from? How do you create a beat and what software can you use? What are the stages and growth of the beat? How do you use and recreate samples? Once you have a finished beta, how do you shop it? How do top-liners write over the beat? All of these questions will be answered!
