MIKE RAINE

Mike Raine is assistant editor of Canadian Musician and Professional Sound magazines, as well as co-host of the Canadian Musician Radio program and podcast. He has also written for the Huffington Post Canada, CBC, Quip Magazine, and other outlets. Original from New Brunswick and now living in Burlington, ON, Mike has an honours B.A. from Carleton University and a post-graduate diploma in journalism from Humber College in Toronto.

For Canadian Musician and Professional Sound, as well as two other trade publications, Mike works with his co-editor, Andrew King, to oversee all editorial content for four national magazines, sending a new issue to the printers every two weeks. To generate this much content, Mike deals with dozens of high-profile and emerging artists, as well as industry professionals and publicists, every week. Conducting countless interviews for the magazines, CM Radio, and online videos, he has a deep knowledge of the media industry, how the system works, and why journalists and editors make the decisions that they do.
