MARIA BARONA
Audio Engineer and Musician

Maria Elisa has more than 8 years of experience as a Recording, Mixing and Sound Design Engineer.

Currently, she works as audio recording and mixing engineer at the Miami Art House studio founded by multi Latin Grammy award winner producer Julio Reyes Copello.

As an independent audio engineer, Maria has worked for a variety of artists and record labels from different musical genres such as El Ritmo Records, Pino Squillace, Ben Sturgell, Farina, Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra, Gatoblanco, and many others.

In August 2012, María Elisa moved to Tennessee to enroll in the prestigious MFA program in Audio Recording at MTSU. She was awarded with a Full Tuition Scholarship at the university and was selected as a beneficiary for Colfuturo's Scholarship-Loan program in Colombia. Moreover, she worked as a Graduate Teacher Assistant at MTSU.

Other credits and duties:
Sound Supervisor for reality show "Protagonistas de Nuestra Tele" aired on 2010 by RCN TV and watched by over 10 million people. Worked for Colombian tv series "El Regreso a la Guaca" aired by RCN TV in 2009 and "Los Caballeros Las Prefieren Brutas" aired by Sony Enterntainment Television Latinoamerica in 2010, both as Editing and Post Production Engineer.

Sound Designer for “Undertow (Contracorriente)” chosen as the Peruvian Official Selection film for the Oscar’s Foreign Film Category in 2009.

Also, worked as Recording Assistant Engineer for the Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra's album "Mestizajes" with Grammy Awarded Engineer Jose Pupo in 2009.

Live Sound Engineer for "Ansío los Alpes, Así Nacen los Lagos" performance by Colombian's renowned theatre company MAPA Teatro, presented at international theatre festivals in Colombia, Ecuador and Chile.

Since 2007, María Elisa has worked as University Professor teaching several courses related with Audio Recording, Post Production and Music.
