IMSTA Annual General Meeting Anaheim Hilton Hotel - Winter NAMM 09

IMSTA held its 5th Annual General Meeting on Friday, January 16th, 2009, at the Hilton Anaheim. The turnout was great as numerous IMSTA member companies’ executives and other supporters were present at this meeting and reinforced their support for IMSTA and its agenda.

At the meeting, the president of Music Marketing, Mr. Ray Williams who is also on the IMSTA board of directors, presented the results of the “Let’s Talk Piracy” survey conducted in the last quarter of 2008. The meeting was an open forum where everyone had the opportunity to voice their opinions and many attendees did have useful feedback for IMSTA.

“The results are very interesting and very useful to the music software industry”, said Mr. Ernst Nathorst-Boos, CEO of Propellerhead Software and IMSTA director.

Another IMSTA director Mr. Daniel Haver who is also the CEO of Native Instruments said, “The results will validate or de-validate what we have known about software piracy.

In general, the meeting was a very successful one as we had a full house of members and supporters who took the time to join us. We thank each and every attendee and hope to see even more of our members, friends, and supporters next year.
