IMSTA FRANCE: IMSTA Launches A Branch in France

New IMSTA Ambassadors
Eric Nolot - IMSTA France Ambassador

When it comes to international expansion, 2008 was truly a good year for IMSTA. In August, IMSTA announced the launch of IMSTA India, IMSTA Italy, and IMSTA United Kingdom. Of course, this would have not been possible had it not been for the IMSTA ambassadors who have taken over this noble project in their respective countries. Now, we are ready to Launch IMSTA France and would like to take this opportunity to introduce the IMSTA ambassador behind this expansion. IMSTA UK: First Appearance in the Music Live Show - Stand SE250

Music Live

IMSTA will have its first presence at a UK trade show on November 7-9, when IMSTA UK joins exhibitors at the Music Live Show in Birmingham's National Exhibition Center.  IMSTA's UK Ambassador, Stephanie Sobey-Jones will be there to meet UK members and to promote the IMSTA message. Music Live Show is also the launch of IMSTA UK's educational campaign. The first day of the show is "Education Day" and a large number of teachers and students are expected to visit. " We're really grateful to UK member, Arbiter, who have worked with the show organizers, Clarion Events, to negotiate our stand space" comments Stephanie. "This kind of support is exactly what we need to help spread the IMSTA message, and I hope we'll see lots of visitors over the three days." More info: infouk@imsta.org

IMSTA PIRACY SURVEY: About 2500 Responses From 67 Different Countries So Far

IMSTA Survey

The IMSTA Piracy Survey was launched on September 15, 2008 and within only 2 weeks it had over 1000 respondents.  At the time this bulletin was sent out (October 30-08), the survey had about 2500 respondents. People from all around the world have taken the survey and have voiced their opinions. Although some of these countries do not have as many respondents as some other countries do, the fact that we have heard from music software users in 67 different countries is very encouraging for IMSTA. This means that our message is truly traveling all around the world. So far we have responses from the following countries: click here

IMSTAR OF THE MONTH : Audio Engineering Society

IMSTAR

An IMSTAR is a company or an individual that helps IMSTA voluntarily. Often, IMSTARs do not have a direct interest in the music software industry. The IMSTAR of the month of October is the Audio Engineering Society. AES has continuously shown its support for IMSTA and we would like to take this opportunity to thank them for it. AES Web Site

MEMBERSHIPS: To Join Up or Renew Your Membership
uncle

IMSTA is the best and only advocacy program the music software industry currently has for fighting piracy. We are fighting piracy on levels that go beyond the obvious. We are trying to change behavior. In order to do this we need a few simple things done by tens of thousands of people - yes, you are one of them. To start, we need you to join IMSTA. To do this, fill out our Membership Application Form. Next we do need you to pay your membership dues for 2008. This is a small but vital contribution that you will make to our campaign. We use your money to pay for the things that we can't get volunteers to do. If you haven't paid yet, please do it now. Finally, we need you to begin the process of implementing the program in the Industry Member's Guide. For starter, put the IMSTA Badge on your web site. This is as easy as 1, 2, 3. One thing for sure is that we cannot succeed without you.

See you next month.
