This is the moment everyone has been waiting for. It is time to announce the winners for the 2007 IMSTA Ad Competition. We had some great ads to choose from. Everyone who entered should be proud of herself/himself. The final decision had to be based on which ads conveyed IMSTA’s objective and its reason for existence in the most accurate manner. Contrary to many people’s beliefs, IMSTA does not enforce the legal use of software. IMSTA educates the public on the negative effects of piracy on the music software industry. We strive to change people’s behavior over time, and to reduce their demand for pirated software. The winning ads had to communicate the message ‘buy the software you use’, and maintain our image as educators – not enforcers.
OK, I think that everyone understands our motive in choosing the winners. And now, here are the winners of the 2007 IMSTA Ad Competition.
The second place winner was Michael Mrkvicka. He took the time to come up with an advertising campaign that with a little modification will fit IMSTA’s image very well.

The winning ad was done by a member who would like to remain anonymous. This advertising campaign is exactly what IMSTA had hoped for.

As good as the artworks for some of the other ads were, the ads themselves were not inline with IMSTA's image. Therefore we could not pick a third place winner. Again we would like to thank everyone who participated, specially our members.
